About the Role

Our mission is to roll-out global procurement standards, best practice and a governance model for operating structures, tools, systems, and how we manage our data efficiently.   

 

The Manager - Systems, Tools and Data Management will drive digitalization, create transparency and increase efficiency in procurement by defining and introducing globally standardized best practices for Supplier management systems, tools, and data management.  

 

 

Your Responsibilities

  • Define specification (“Lastenheft”) and IT requirements for database, tools & systems for their users (e.g., Category Management, Supplier Management), incl. Spend database/ analytics (GSA, Sievo), Savings tracking, KPI dashboard, BoM controlling tool, Target costing tool, Risk register, Supplier database

  • Drive harmonization of database, tools & systems 

  • Monitor and ensure data quality and availability

  • Drive cross-group standardization and rollout of professional supplier management tools & systems 

  • Understand business needs in terms of systems in supplier & category management, direct & indirect procurement 

  • Establish expert networks across our Groups to align on global systems roadmap and project prioritization

  • Use the bundled competences and resources of Magna´s network to work on systems standardization projects 

  • Provide tools to continuously monitor an improve data quality across our divisions globally 

  • Ensure appropriate solutions are implemented on time to comply with customer and legal requirements

  • Act as single point of contact for internal and extern IT partners to define priorities and in case of escalation

  • Lead cross-group systems implementation projects

  • Lead the Systems, Tools and Data Management Team

  • Drive standardization and continuous improvement by cross-group implementation of professional supplier management tools & systems 

  • Understand business needs in terms of tools to ensure proper systems landscape is available to provide efficient support for procurement

  • Establish expert networks across our Groups to align on global systems roadmap, project prioritization and work on implementation projects

  • Define detailed specifications and IT requirements together with business experts and the team to ensure appropriate tools can be implemented properly by IT Experts 

  • Establish tools, processes and controls to continuously improve data quality across our global divisions, create data transparency, appropriate data basis for process automation and synergy projects 

  • Ensure appropriate solutions are implemented in time to comply with customer, governmental and legal requirements

  • Lead selected implementation projects & roadmap workshops

  • Represent procurement in all cross-department strategic systems related topics
     

Who we are looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems or related discipline 
  • 5+ years applicable industry experience   
  • Experience in Project Management, Master Data Management, and/or Data Analytics    

Your preferred qualifications

  • Previous automotive industry experience
